Job Description

We’re seeking a highly motivated Head of Sales (Based in Barcelona) to join and head up our Global Sales at https://www.commercegate.com/  reporting to the CCO (https://www.linkedin.com/in/pabarclay).

We will trust you to:

  • Manage and lead by example our sales efforts;
  • Act as an evangelist for client-centric approach;
  • Study payments market, searching for new opportunities;
  • Develop and implement sales strategy;
  • Run end-to-end sales process;
  • Oversee successful client onboarding and integration;
  • Work with and deliver on marketing and sales targets, quotas, plans and budgets;
  • Be engaged in pricing;
  • Drive Commercegate brand awareness;
  • Lead promotion activities, represent the company in industry events;
  • Contribute in the new product development and launch projects;
  • Conduct market activities in accordance with relevant risk and compliance regulations as well as internal rules.

You’ll need to have:

  • Be the leader who has "Energy", can "Energise"the team”, Comfortable to manage on the "Edge" and can "Execute"
  • Self-sufficient professional with a proven track in management of the Sales  defining, justifying, and achieving the sales targets.
  • Excellent management, communication & negotiation skills;
  • 3+ years of experience as a Head of Sales or similar role;
  • 5+ years proven / successful sales experience in the Financial Services (Payments, FX) / Transactional Banking;
  • Flexible, open-minded, and motivated;
  • Analytical, methodical;
  • Ability to travel;
  • Fluent in English & Spanish; 
  • EU resident;

We’d love to see:

  • Proven experience of building from scratch or successfully restructuring of the Sales Team;
  • Sound understanding of the deep customer needs in the payment industry;
  • Deep understanding of the particular industry (how business works) using electronic payments as the main payment method; 
  • Experience with a venture or scaleup company;
  • Fluent in other languages;
