A bit about the role;

We are looking for a product manager, who will be managing Internal Finance product for the global Transferwise Finance team. Internal product allowing us to run internal accounting, internal and external reporting, financial compliance controls support, budgeting, forecasting and a lot of other internal processes, which Transferwise Finance team needs to execute.

  • You will focus on defining and executing our internal finance product strategy, manage product development and usage operationally, be driving and supporting the work of finance software engineer team members.
  • Collaborate with other product and engineering teams to align product development plans, finance team needs, regulator and auditor requirements.
  • You will build a product that ensures timely availability of clean, accurate and compliant financials in all TransferWise companies worldwide.
  • The internal product supports core accounting as well as provides the financial planning and analysis data for our internal and external needs. 

A bit about you;

  • We need someone to get behind the scenes of our transactions, numbers, and reporting. Be ready to drive vision, plan, maturity, compliance, and availability of our finance internal product capabilities and data for business and beyond.
  • You can effectively work with people with very different backgrounds. You can articulate and know how to communicate complex concepts in a simple way.
  • You have advanced knowledge of technical aspects of IT solutions development process. You can write complex SQL queries and understand technical language of Java engineers. You know how to make architectural or data structure decisions together with the team, understand what multi-service architecture means and how it works.
  • You can run operations of a team of software developers and data analysts. It means that you can support development process with insight, run advanced tests and make sure that a developed solution doesn’t create new problems before deployment. At the same time, you understand how the backend of a modern financial company works.
  • You are not lost in complex business processes and data flows and still, can the see bigger picture. You love digging into data and using it to back your decisions.
  • You have built successful products. You already know how to prioritise, foresee sharp corners and potential trade-offs.  You know what ownership over a product means.
