We're looking for an entrepreneurial and customer-obsessed Product Owner to help us further establish our leadership position in one of the fastest growing industries on the planet: Fintech. As a digital-savvy Product Owner, you will be leading your own squad as a mini-startup within Backbase. Your team’s contributions will enhance the digital marketing capabilities of Backbase’s product, directly impacting our global customers and ultimately touching the 70+ million end-users they serve on a daily basis.
You’re a digital native with an entrepreneurial background that knows enough tech to talk tech, enough business to talk business, and enough UX to talk UX. You know what it means to solve complex, functional and analytical problems while keeping the customer top of mind, and getting things done while keeping your squad members highly productive. You can translate customer opportunities and pain points into detailed product requirements and have the communication and leadership skills to have your team aligned on vision and mission.
You’re used to taking responsibility and can manage the full product life cycle of your squad, from requirements gathering through production and release, and interacting with customers to understand and meet their needs. You will spend time with customers to understand their challenges, while gathering insights into how to solve problems and deliver new features. You know how to bring value to an MVP or Prototype, and iterate to full product. You believe in a ‘lean startup’ approach to product development that’s focused around a constant cycle of feedback, measure and optimize versus going for a ‘big bang’.
Within Backbase you will responsible for our Digital Marketing capabilities, introducing (mobile) campaign management, A/B testing, analytics, landing page creation, basic content management, and digital sales features in our platform.
3+ years’ experience in product management within a software company.
All-round skills from technology, to project management, to user experience and marketing.
Excellent communication skills in English, and you’re a skilled presenter.
Ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.
Experience with Agile software development, including applicable tooling such as Jira.
Experience with modern software product development, including continuous integration and automated testing.
Domain expertise in the digital marketing area
