Backbase is putting together a new Product Team for its Digital Banking Platform, and is looking for a Technical Writer to support the core product. We’re looking for someone who can help to build our API ecosystem and create a new standards for our documentation.
The Technical Writer DBP needs to be able to quickly pick up knowledge of all advanced business features and functions of the products. You will be a member of the Products team, a multidisciplinary team of experienced and highly skilled UX designers, software developers, test engineers, technical writers and support engineers, guided by the Chief Architect and the Professional Manager. This team is responsible for the entire software development life cycle of the Backbase DBP product suite. With your experience and skills, you will contribute to the quality of our software products, helping to realize successful customer implementations by our Professional Services consultants and partners. You will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of your Products colleagues.
We work in scrum teams in order to deliver new functionality in every release, closely cooperating with Product Managers and the Professional Services team. The complexity and nature of the product, combined with the latest technology trends, makes working in Products at Backbase a great and challenging experience.
The successful Technical Writer will provide product documentation and other knowledge transfer materials, creating a broad set of materials to instruct and inform users about our products. Materials include, but are not limited to: APIs, installation guides, migration guides, conceptual overviews, programming examples, and release notes.
You will be expected to define and own the writing style for the Products team, providing guidance where needed. In cooperation with Product Management, you will delineate the set of deliverables. A self-supporting attitude is required, proactively sourcing relevant information from the software developers. Useful insight about how to best provide leading documentation and information to users is a bonus.
You will write, edit and harmonize all of our technical documentation. You must be able to demonstrate a flair for working with developers and architects to create accurate content. A growth path to team lead is possible. You will work alongside our five other technical writers, and will report to the Products Manager.
