The Platform Architect is a member of the Backbase Products team, a multidisciplinary team of experienced and highly skilled UX designers, software developers, test engineers, technical writers and support engineers. The team is responsible for the entire software development life cycle of our digital banking product suite, including out-of-the-box portal solutions.
You will contribute to the quality of our software products, helping to realize successful customer implementations by our Professional Services consultants and Integration Partners. We work in Scrum teams in order to deliver new functionality in every release, closely cooperating with Product Managers and the Professional Services team.
As part of the Products team, you will report to the VP of Software Design, and will support one of our tribes in developing new functionality for the Backbase platform.
You are overall technically responsible for the tribe, you make sure the software architects are aligned to ensure alignment across R&D, and with platform architects of other tribes, developers, testers and other team members to ensure the technical vision is known and used during development activities. You drive technology innovation and refactoring initiatives. People turn to you for advice based on your sound experience and deep technical understanding of software development, practices and frameworks.
You are a visionary, you understand the latest software trends, what works, and what doesn’t. Preferably you gained extensive hands on experience as a Software Architect and grew into more senior (leading) roles, but you are still technically up to date. You are a leader, great in aligning and guiding teams and tribes and you collaborate easily with a broad range of specialists, internally and externally.
Your experience should cover portals or banking/payments. You understand mobile solutions, security, cloud, DevOps and micro services at a product development and/or consultancy level.
