We just launched our full-service online self serve buy platform in Ontario and will be rapidly expanding across Canada and the USA.



WHO ARE YOU?  

You are passionate about cloud computing, have experience using AWS/GCP, and are excited to learn more about what it has to offer. You are comfortable using shell scripting and have the proficiency to utilize CI/CD tools and automation. You can provide infrastructure security and technical support as required.



WHAT WILL YOU DO AT FOXQUILT AS A DEVOPS ENGINEER?  

This role will primarily focus on cloud computing (AWS), infrastructure security, and some technical support for internal employees. Over the course of the next 6-9 months, as our team expands, this role will change and focus almost exclusively on DevOps.

As the DevOps Engineer, you will: 

  • Manage our CircleCI pipeline, AWS setups, monitoring of online assets, etc.
  • Site reliability engineering - scale and speed at a reasonable cost
  • Implement security best practices across the company
  • Improve and maintain office infrastructure, including firewall, VPN, printers, etc.
  • Set up and maintain endpoint security for all employees, laptops and handheld devices.



WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A DEVOPS ENGINEER? 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred)
  • Additional training, courses, and certifications (preferred)
  • If you have prior DevOps experience, but ended up studying something else, we will consider your skills and experience too.

Experience

You have prior experience working on projects/products that require the following: 

  • Shell scripting
  • AWS/GCP, including comfort with CLI
  • Database: MongoDB
  • Cloud formation, GitHub pipeline
  • Windows, Mac, Linux superuser
  • Solid troubleshooting & communication skills
  • Exposure to any programming languages
  • Exposure to Javascript, NodeJS, Typescript 
  • Exposure to Testing: Cypress, Jest, Selenium, Katalon, etc.
