What You’ll Do (Role Description)

As the head of Marketing, you will be a critical leader within the Mitek organization. You will drive the company’s overall marketing strategy, lead the global marketing organization, define and execute the global end-to-end marketing plans, manage lead generation to feed the sales pipeline, and continuously enhance Mitek’s position as the recognized innovator and thought leader in the industry.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design and execute winning go-to-market strategy
  • Annual and quarterly marketing plan establishment and execution
  • Lead generation to fuel the opportunity pipeline
  • Account-based-marketing strategy and tools execution
  • Digital and social media marketing execution
  • Build best-in-class sales tools, collateral, and playbooks to enable a growing field sales team to be successful
  • Channel marketing and enablement
  • Marketing communications and channel programs to support the business. 
  • Event management and logistics planning and implementation
  • Brand and sub-brand management
  • Analyst relations management
  • Press relations management, including Comm/PR plans
  • Market intelligence and trends tracking
  • Competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Direct and supervise outside agencies
  • Manage marketing budget
  • Recruit, retain, coach, and grow a team of high-performing Marketing Professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating and collaborating to drive results across Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success

What You Need (Skills/Experience)

  • 15+ years’ experience in marketing, business, product management, sales, and/or related fields
  • Master at crafting inspirational narrative, messaging and positioning
  • Proven track record of successfully taking new products to market
  • Demonstrated experience in development of marketing strategies and principles, including customer segmentation, product positioning, communication, pricing, and distribution.
  • Solid experience with cloud software markets, SaaS business models, GTM efforts, product development
  • Successful facilitation of work objectives across multi-discipline functions and teams
  • Experience with external partner development
  • Experience in management consulting and/or investment banking fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying key opportunities and the ability to turn them into results
  • Strong familiarity with positioning and marketing technology products
  • Management of business analysis and market research efforts
  • Demonstrable skills and a strong track record in cross-functional teamwork, leadership skills and strong excellent communication and presentation skills


What Would be Nice (Preferred Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in the FinTech, RegTech, and/or Mobile technology sectors
  • Experience in business opportunity assessment, business plan creation, strategy development, and project planning
  • Strategic planning and analysis
  • Financial/forecasting methods
  • Merger & acquisitions integration



  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and/or technical discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering) is preferred. 
  • A Master's in Business Administration degree from a top university program is required, or equivalent experience
