Robeco Private Equity, situated in Rotterdam and London, is an experienced alternative asset manager and leader in sustainability and ESG integration since 2004. Robeco Private Equity invests in funds (primaries and secondaries) and selectively in co-investments and has a strong focus on small and medium-sized companies. Robeco Private Equity offers products and customized investment programs, mainly for institutional clients. The team consists of 20 professionals from various nationalities and has ambitious plans to expand the business over the coming years. For the reinforcement of the Private Equity team in Rotterdam the team is looking for an experienced Investment Manager Private Equity.


Your role

As an Investment Manager Private Equity you will be leading projects and you will be working on more projects simultaneously. In this role you will: <<ul>
  • Screen, analyse and execute fund (primary/secondary) and potentially co-investment opportunities as well as monitor and report on investments 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with private equity fund managers, placement agents, investors and other private equity stakeholders 
  • Participate in Sales and Investors Relations activities, including the preparation of marketing materials (i.e. presentations, updates, etc.), client reporting and meeting with (prospective) clients 
  • Identify and analyse relevant industry trends and developments, initiate solutions and consolidate the information for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Perform various tasks related to portfolio reporting


  • A Master’s degree with excellent study results from a top tier university; for example, in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or a technical field (i.e. engineering)
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Private Equity (fund) investments, alternative investments, investment banking or corporate finance
  • Proactive self-starter, who can work independently and take responsibility;
  • Flexible and hands-on team player at the same time 
  • Commercial sense with focus on long-term success; strong analytical skills and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Top performer mentality and the flexibility to travel internationally
