Robeco Private Equity, situated in Rotterdam and London, is an experienced alternative asset manager and leader in sustainability and ESG integration since 2004. Robeco Private Equity invests in funds (primaries and secondaries) and selectively co-investments and has a strong focus on small and medium-sized companies. Robeco Private Equity offers products and customized investment programs, mainly for institutional clients. The team consists of 20 professionals from various nationalities and has ambitious plans to expand the business over the coming years. For the reinforcement of the Private Equity team in Rotterdam the team is looking for an experienced Portfolio Management Professional Private Equity.


Your role

In this role you will be responsible for Portfolio Management activities in relation to existing private equity programs. In particular, you will be responsible for: 

  • Cash flow and performance analyses that are being conducted periodically for risk management and client servicing purposes 
  • Portfolio data collection activities, including the collection of data used for the quarterly reporting cycle 
  • Monitoring the development of the portfolios and initiate projects in relation to secondary sale activities 
  • Coordinating the Quarterly Portfolio Review meetings during which all portfolios are being discussed 
  • Performance measurement and benchmarking


  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, in a portfolio management role in private equity and/or other asset classes such as real estate or infrastructure 
  • Above average academic level of working and thinking 
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills 
  • Proactive and independent self-starter and flexible team player at the same time 
  • Helicopter view; excellent project management skills; strong communication skills (at all levels) 
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
