We are looking for a Java Backend Developer for our new office in Budapest. We need someone who wants to grow quickly and has the ability to learn and thrive in a fast paced environment. We are looking for a proactive team player who thinks about the product and solutions first and then does the coding.

SimpledCard is a Dutch FinTech scale-up company in the field of payments and expense management. We offer our clients a SaaS solution, via a complex set of core applications and a complex interface. Our HQ is based in the Netherlands in the city centre of Amsterdam. We share office space with GlobalOrange, the company that developed SimpledCard.
What we expect from you
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field
- 1-3 years Java experience
- Knowledge of SQL
- Good understanding of object oriented programming
- Knowledge of dev tools (IDE, source control, command line)
- Strong English skills: speaking & writing
It would be a big plus if you
- Contribute to open source or hobby projects
- Have experience with Linux / Unix
- Write clean code
