About the role

We opened our doors 2 years ago. Obviously - we have systems working, databases up and running. But this is a start-up – i.e. we add functionality, polish stuff, expand and grow fast (clients, transactions etc.). So far, our awesome Engineering team has been planning the architecture of databases and optimised these. But you probably know there is a moment this kind of systems badly need a dedicated geek with experience to take over and own it.

So, now we are looking for a talented Database Architect to make sure our mission critical systems are up and running, and several aspects are taken care of:

  • Global scalability
  • Archiving
  • Optimising
  • Planning of distributed DB systems

 

Buzzwords: PostgreSQL, AWS, RDS, cloud, sharding, Linux

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience of large scale PostgeSQL databases setup, design and maintenance
  • 2+ years of AWS experience
  • Someone who only needs to take one look at a database schema and process tables, and already know what can be improved
  • Experience in working in agile development environment
  • Strong prototyping skills
  • Good balance of planning and executing
  • Can do attitude
  • Fluent English skills
  • Team player
