The job of Cloud Engineer

In order to enable a best-in-class cloud experience, RedCloud Technologies is hiring for a Cloud Engineer for our London office. The Cloud Engineer will be operating between the Engineering and Ops teams at RedCloud.

 

Key tasks for the Cloud Engineer

  • Enabling RedCloud AWS environments and ensuring they are setup, optimised and easily accessible
  • Working especially with AWS Serverless Developer tools (SAM), SDK’s, IDE Toolkits and Lambda
  • Help train others on AWS configurations and toolset
  • Working closely with all development, product and service delivery teams
  • Working along Agile (Scrum, XP) methodologies
  • Involvement with platform integration with external customer systems
  • Automation scripting

 

Experience and MUST HAVE requirements for the Cloud Engineer

  • Proven hands-on professional experience in cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Service (AWS), Google Cloud platform or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience setting up and deploying in AWS or Azure cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless Developer tools, Lambda and AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM)
  • Scripting experience in any language, i.e. Java, Python, C#, Perl, Node
  • An understanding of Cloud and software security principles
