The role of Business Development Director – Merchant Acquisition - LatAm

You will spearhead the attraction of new corporate accounts in a consultative sales role working at senior management and C-level with major organisations across the LatAm region.

This role is ideally based out of Buenos Aires, although location can be flexible as there will be extensive travel across the LatAm region. You will have local support in the form of highly experienced Business Development Directors, Product & Pre-Sales Managers as well as the extended global Sales & Marketing team.

Business Development Director – Merchant Acquisition - LatAm tasks:

  • Spearhead the New Business efforts for the LatAm region with the focus on developing new relationships with customers in the distribution, wholesale, FMCG and retail markets
  • Execution of sales strategies to drive revenue through the growth of customer numbers and transactions on the platform
  • Prospecting, negotiation and closing of sales in collaboration with the global team
  • Establish new alliances with key partners to drive new benefits, and create added value to our customers.
  • Provide high-level account management during the implementation of our platform and its customization, strengthening the link between companies and looking for increase revenue streams within the account 
  • Participate in formulating sales strategy
  • Build market intelligence and approach
  • Manage your own sales pipeline, working to monthly objectives and KPI’s
  • Collaborate and input into regional marketing, arrange promotional programs, activities and events
  • Maintain high standards and strive for sales excellence 

Experience needed for the Business Development Director – Merchant Acquisition - LatAm

You should be keen on working within a start-up style environment understanding the unique responsibility, creativity and flexibility that is required and the immense rewards that come with it.

Must have requirements:

  • Sales experience operating at senior management and C- level
  • Experience selling complex payments, platform ecommerce or marketplace solutions to one or more of the following: Distributors, Wholesalers, FMCG or online retailers
  • Extensive knowledge of technology sales cycles and processes
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently
  • Fluent Spanish in speaking and writing
  • Flexible to travel extensively across LatAm (all travel expenses paid)
