The VP Business Development, Airtime top up Europe & Middle East (EME) will be responsible for driving our business in Europe, Middle East and GCC countries, managing our key accounts in the region. This position will be reporting into the EVP Mobile Money, EME based in London.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible on developing the overall sales and business development plan to increase penetration of services and maintain our level of gross margin selling additional services,
  • Responsible for managing relationships to ensure buy in of stakeholders (MNOs, banks, aggregators, regulators, merchants),
  • Management of full cycle of sales process including agreement/signatures, live account status and on-going management of accounts,
  • Ensure excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services taking into factors of market specificity (regulation, competition etc.),
  • Full ownership of customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value,
  • Attend trade shows, follow up on leads, follow up in sales process and increase reputation of the company,
  • Ensure account retention, contractual health, well-being and maximum satisfaction of clients,
  • Manage key strategic projects involving government or public stakeholders, and
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of the company.


  • More than 10 years’ experience with proven experience in managing accounts more than 7M$+, in the telecom MNO/MVNO environment in Europe and in the Middle East,
  • Experienced in regional people management (>10 pax),
  • Proficient in CRM, Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Fluent in Arabic and English. Other European languages will be an advantage,
  • Ability to travel (40% to 50% of time),
  • Culturally adaptable, ability to work in different environments,
  • Driven, Flexible, self-motivated, go-getter, able to accept change and willing to work in an exciting environment,
  • Work experience in Airtime top up both on the sender side and familiar with the receiver side, Money Transfer, Mobile Money or Mobile Financial Services, Payment and/or telecommunications an advantage,
  • Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization and negotiation, and
  • Team-oriented, able to communicate efficiently internally to ensure full buy-in, support and understanding from line manager, other business functions and support functions, able to support other teams,
