In November 2016 we announced our plans to build a next generation bank so that we can bring a greater range of smart, ethical finance products to even more people.   Role overview   As a ServiceNow Analyst Developer at Zopa you will be responsible for the Preparing and running functional design workshops including the creation of design specifications based on out-of-the-box functionality and Zopa requirements.   As an expert in ITIL, you will also be knowledgeable on the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and insights on the preferred/best practice way to implement requirements.   Having established business and technical requirements, you will work to agree scope and delivery plans, agree resourcing, timelines and sourcing models and be actively engaged in the delivery, whether it be in-house or with a 3rd Party delivery team. Working closely with Monitoring Solutions, IT and Infrastructure Support and Software Delivery teams, you will ensure effective integration with other platforms, driving automation and orchestration whenever possible.   You will be responsible for technical delivery (including development, testing and implementation) using a number of technical skills such as HTML, XML, JavaScript/AJAX, Integrations (web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc, following Agile delivery methodologies.   Your drivers will be Agile, efficiency, flexibility and user experience and satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities

    • Agile working practices (Scrum & Kanban)
    • Strong programming experience, including JavaScript, Jelly, HTML and XHTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, CSS
    • Experience in Design and Implementation of ServiceNow Process Forms and workflow
    • Experience in Design and Implementation of ServiceNow Automation Platform
    • ITILv3 certified, an expert in Incident, Problem, Change Management, Self Service, CMDB
    • Understanding of Software as a Service
    • Understanding of SOAP, REST and Web Services concepts
    • Should have prior experience in integrating tools in ServiceNow or other similar tools using MidServer, webservices, email etc.
    • Hands-on design, development and deployment experience with the Service-now.com platform
    • Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL and other such technologies
    • Be an Evangelist for the standardised and cross business use of approved tools and practices
    • 09:00 to 17:30 weekdays, plus additional hours as required in a 24/7 environment

Requirements

    • Monitoring Solutions integration experience – ideally AppD
    • Logstash experience - Splunk / ELK desired
    • Automated Call-out experience - PagerDuty / XMatters
    • ServiceNow experience expert
    • Automation Tools, Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible
    • Front End development and UI experience, Dashboard creation
    • Good knowledge of AI and ML
    • Good understanding of Agile and Software engineering principles
    • Excellent succinct but detailed communication skills, written and verbal
    • Keeps a cool head under pressure
    • Excellent interpersonal, influencing skills, interacting appropriately with technical and business resources, driven but courteous
    • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, on-prem and cloud IT environments
    • Strong analytical/fault finding/diagnostics/trouble-shooting skills
    • Methodical approach to problem solving and attention to detail
    • Flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude
    • Effective time management skills; with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising tasks, shifting priorities, fluctuating workloads, deadline pressures
    • Degree level education or equivalent experience
    • ITIL expert
    • Strong technical competencies resulting from previous working experience at expert level within an IT operational or support environment.
    • Experience of monitoring Amazon Web Services
    • Cloud native, containers, Kubernetes knowledge and experience desired
