Expectations

Lending Loop is looking for a smart, energetic, highly motivated Account Manager to work directly with great businesses from across Canada. You will need to adapt to a very fast paced environment which brings new challenges every day. You’ll be working with the team to help build the infrastructure for our inbound and outbound sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Work directly with businesses through the borrowing process from application to funded loan.

  •  Be able to discuss financial products with small business owners and understand their financing needs;

  •  Work with potential borrowers to educate them on financing options and explain why Lending Loop may be the best fit for them;

  •  Conduct research to source, identify and qualify prospective clients beyond assigned prospects;

  •  Following up on accounts, moving them through the loan application process, collecting required documentation, as well as facilitating conversations with our credit team;

  •  Identify key influencers within prospects and determine decision-making timelines;

  •  Build and cultivate client relationships both pre-sale and post-sale;

  •  Conduct needs analysis to determine prospect pain points;

  •  Manage a sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed targets;

  •  Create and maintain prospective and existing client profiles in Salesforce.com; and

  •  Respond to day-to-day inquiries from potential and existing clients that may not be research-related.

  •  Maintain the client relationship long term, follow up on future financing needs and develop referrals.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Experience

  •  Polished, professional written and verbal communication skills;

  •  2 - 5 years in a sales related role, account management preferred;

  •  Strong relationship development skills;

  •  Advanced ability to meet and/or exceed activity quotas;

  •  Advanced ability to successfully call on a wide range of prospects within SMB environment (C-Level to single owner/operator);

  •  Proficiency with internet browsers and internet research;

  •  Well-developed organizational and time management skills;

  •  High level of detail orientation, follow-through, and accuracy;

  •  Ability to excel in a fast-growth, changing environment;

  •  Hustle and drive - willingness to call 50+ prospects and existing accounts per day;

  •  High school diploma; and

  •  Bachelor degree strongly preferred.

Bonus Points

  •  Experience with Salesforce.com;

  •  Understanding of financial statements;

  •  Knowledge of financial industry;

  •  Team lead or managerial experience;

  •  Examples of previous success including closing ratios, achieved quotas, average sale price and team performance rank where applicable
