Sensibill is lighting up the FinTech industry with solutions that change the way people interact with their purchases and enable corporations to make critical insights. We are looking to expand our Research & Innovation team with a hands-on AI Dev Manager to lead our ML engineers in making next-generation improvements to our AI based receipt processing engine.
We need an AI Dev Manager who is able to lead by example. Someone who is able to quickly whip up a script to test a hypothesis, but who can also plan an approach to solve a complex problem. We need a Dev Manager who doesn’t insist on being the smartest person in the room but wants to help develop others around them to be great because she or he knows that a rising tide lifts all boats.
As our new AI Dev Manager you will:
Lead: Organize and mentor a team of machine learning and algorithm developers, motivating them and not commanding them.
Develop: Get your hands dirty and set a shining example for the rest of the engineering team.
Deliver: Be responsible for the continuous delivery of improvements to the receipt processing solution.
Manage and Grow: Guide your team in their career development and be responsible for their growth, performance, and evaluation.
So who are you?
A seasoned developer, first and foremost. You have at least 5 years of experience writing code with a heavy focus on algorithm development or experimental development in a research setting. Machine learning experience, particularly working with neural nets is an asset but not essential. We believe mentorship is two way and particularly necessary in the nascent field of artificial intelligence.
Open. You adapt to change, solicit input from others, and adopt the best ideas irrespective of their source. It’s not about being right at the beginning, but about following a structured process to get the right answer.
Creative yet organized. Coming up with new ideas to test is second nature to you, but you’re still able to build a viable plan that fits in a larger context, and that you and the team can deliver on.
A coach. You’ve been around the block and want to develop others to do their best work and help them see how to unblock themselves when faced with an obstacle.
Desire to manage. You have been a team lead for at least two years and are at a point in your career where you are ready to make the jump to management but want to keep your hands dirty.
