We are looking to expand our development team and as a result we are hiring a Tier 3 Production Support Engineer to join our team of exceptional people to continuously improve our performance, and automate our operational processes.

We need a Tier 3 Production Support Engineer with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills. Someone who can help identify the root causes of issues before they become problems. What we need:

We are looking for a Tier 3 Production Support Engineer who wants to be a key contributor as we expand our client base, who requires minimum oversight and who is eager to collaborate with our Client Success, Data Research and Engineering teams and lead initiatives in improving our production services.

We work with a combination of the following technologies; Ubuntu Linux, Chef, RabbitMQ, Node, Angular, and MongoDB. If these aren’t all in your wheelhouse, don’t let that deter you. This is a role for a smart engineer, with a willingness to grow in the role. We need a support engineer who can work efficiently and effectively in an Agile environment. Someone who can scale with us and is excited by the challenging problems that a growing SaaS infrastructure offers.

Responsibilities of our new Tier 3 Production Support Engineer:

  • Monitor. Monitoring of production services to confirm service availability.
  • Improve. Assist with the organization, publishing and maintaining of technical documentation, production support playbooks and knowledge base.
  • Support. Serve as the technical contact during off-hours for our clients via e-mail, slack, phone calls and automated alerts.
  • Engineer. Develop new systems and improve existing systems that will assist in the monitoring and maintenance of our production services.
  • Collaborate. Engage with our software development teams in developing improvements and best practices to achieve smooth operation and service availability.

So, who are you?

  • An experienced support engineer. Your background is in computer science or engineering. You have a minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in the information technology industry. Ideally, you are familiar with SaaS offerings.
  • A technology enthusiast. You have experience with some, or all, of the following:
    • Linux or other Unix based operating systems
    • RabbitMQ or other messaging queues
    • SaaS and working in a cloud based environment
    • Incident Management and Ticketing systems such as JIRA
  • An altogether organized individual. You possess excellent organizational skills and have familiarity with the writing and updating of technical documentation.
  • A bonus points seeker. You may have familiarity with financial services and/or receipt processing.
