Job Description

Sensibill is lighting up the FinTech industry with mobile solutions that change the way people interact with their purchases and enable corporations to make critical insights. We are looking to expand our mobile development team with an Android Developer.

We’re looking for an android developer with an eye for slick design and equally impressive technical and creative skills. Think: clean screen-to-screen transitions, polished bounce-backs, and user-responsiveness. Someone who can combine animation and clean lines to create a 5-star end-user experience that incorporates Sensibill’s receipt management solution into the banking experience. Someone who goes beyond the standard product offerings to create reliable, functional, and customer-centric apps. Who is excited to build and enhance an SDK that will be incorporated into the world’s most downloaded banking applications...and wants to do it in an energetic start-up environment at the cutting edge of the #fintech industry.

If you are an android developer seeking the chance to make an impact on a company, a solution, and the end users, all while building a career for yourself, this is the opportunity to consider. If you are excited by mobile, cloud, big data, analytics, and anything #fintech, this is the company for you.

As our new Android Developer, you will:

  • Build and enhance an SDK to be integrated into the mobile banking apps of the biggest banks, and ultimately used by millions of customers.
  • Translate the latest principles for mobile application development to enhance the functionality, friendliness, and responsiveness of our app.
  • Write automated test cases to enable continuous integration of new features.
  • Thrive in an Agile environment; actively participate in daily scrum meetings, provide - and meet - estimates for sprint activities.
  • Run weekly demonstrations of your work-to-date.
  • Research and test new technologies, and methodologies in mobile app development.

This is what you'll have:

  • 3 - 5+ years experience building and customizing complex mobile apps for Android platforms.
  • Deep understanding of how mobile development aspects relate to native hardware components (e.g. camera), performance, caching, and security.
  • A virtual portfolio demonstrating your work. Specifically, links to apps in Google Play.
  • The Android skills: You can build your own SDK; use Android Studio; and follow Material Design guidelines for an enhanced UX. You have hands-on experience integrating with RESTful web services using OAuth. Bonus points if you are familiar with Swift or Photoshop.

Who are you?

  • A collaborative programmer. You bring a flexible, yet focused approach to building frameworks, SDKs, and robust applications with a variety of features with the latest technologies.
  • A problem solver. You truly enjoy creating the best solutions to complex problems, using the latest technical methodologies/ processes.
  • A technology enthusiast. You bring a passion for modern technology and the #fintech landscape.
  • A creator. You know how to take technical information (requirements gathering, solutions design, etc.) and present it in a beautiful, user-friendly, responsive environment.
  • Driven. To create good work. To build flawless apps. To help others succeed. To get it done.
  • Open. You adapt to change, solicit input from others, and adopt the best ideas irrespective of their source. It’s not about being right at the beginning, but about following a structured process to get to the right answer.

Why should you join Sensibill?

Joining a start-up in the early days is pretty much the greatest adventure you can go on. We are lean, smart, fun, and we live for balance. This is not a top-down culture. We want everyone’s input during critical decisions. To that end, if you have ideas, we want to hear them. Together we can shape not just your role and your team, but our company. We want new team members who want to invest in us the way we invest in them. We want your ideas, energy, skills, dedication, and if you have any, we’ll take your #receipts too.
