Nexonia provides a fast paced, deeply collaborative, truly Agile environment that uses Scrum as well as Test Driven Development in solving meaty technical challenges. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the team and help us get quality code out the door.

Reporting to the QA Lead, you will be sharing the responsibility for ensuring our products meet quality standards and championing best practice. More than simply validating the work of others, you'll be involved in crafting world class software by being involved at every step of the software development lifecycle.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Lead efforts to improve the quality of our products to deliver premier features and application
  • Use a risk based approach to write test plans that protect the application's quality without needlessly slowing down the development process
  • Collaborate with business and development teams to understand and resolve any quality issues and testing defects that are discovered during any phase of the lifecycle.
  • Generate test reports that clearly communicate test results, concerns, and project status.
  • Work with a passionate team of developers and QA staff in an energizing environment to deliver extraordinary applications.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance, writing test plans, identifying and handling problems and software defects
  • Strong analytical mind to identify potential failure points in software
  • Be comfortable working in an Agile environment, specifically Scrum where teamwork is of paramount importance.

Bonus Points for the following:

  • Leadership potential
  • Experience with QTP or Selenium Webdriver
  • Knowledge of REST, XML, SOAP, WSDL, JSON
  • SaaS experience is a huge plus
  • Web security experience such as XSS and SQL injection
  • Basic understanding of financial software
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to learn new and dynamic software
  • Great understanding of the HTTP protocol

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment
  • Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties
  • Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
