What you'll do:

  • Play an integral role in monthly group financial close process
  • Responsible for monthly accounting to trial balance for the companies within the group, as well as accounting for inter-company transactions
  • Work closely with teams in the following critical business functions: accounting, internal controls, engineering, regional country leads, compliance and business analytics
  • Responsible for the corporate cash reconciliation, payment date accounting and indirect tax reports, across multiple countries and currencies
  • Prepare intercompany journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and or review day-to-day corporate payments
  • Responsible for processing: Invoice & payment processing, master data management, travel & expense processing and reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of trading, internal and operational bank accounts in different countries
  • Proactively pursue business issues that impact the general ledger and evaluate the situation for acceptable solutions
  • Understand foreign currency transactions and translation in accordance with IFRS
  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements and tax returns
  • Prepare annual financial information to be provided to the external auditors 

What you will need to be considered: 

  • 2-3 years experience in accounting, consolidations and financial reporting
  • SAICA, SAIPA or relevant professional qualification
  • Results driven with high level of initiative, teamwork, urgency, accountability and integrity
  • Comfortable working independently in a high growth, constantly changing, fast-paced environment with strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent administrative skills, attention to detail and analytical skills with a high level of comfort in working with numbers and demonstrated expertise using spreadsheet software
  • Effective planning, interpersonal and communication skills
