Acorns is seeking an Operations Acceptance Test Analyst to perform non-functional operator (OAT) test assurance for our new product releases. You will perform ongoing non-functional testing of business systems and integrations to ensure a successful product release.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Introduce yourself and become integrated with the Acorns team.
  • Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the non-functional requirements and live infrastructure.  
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of our process flows for money movement and account verification.
  • Create a full testing plan in concert with product, engineering, and operations teams for the next four months of new products development.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Complete testing of business processes and systems.
  • Design testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technical specifications.
  • Complete tasks related to the production of the test Plan, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
  • Determine the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Work with teams to define and iterate testing new initiatives and features.
  • Interact with various departments to understand and fulfill business requirements as they relate to applications.
  • Provide status to management and provide customers detailed descriptions of all modifications of software and hardware.
  • Schedule and meet timelines/constraints to meet project commitments.
  • Recommend and implement tools appropriate for achieving quality goals.

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • 2+ years previous testing experience in non-functional testing / Operational Acceptance Test (OAT)
  • Experience utilizing testing methodology, analyzes testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for a test level to be executed on a project.
  • Educated on best OAT practices, established tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of JIRA for tracking defects found during testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment or prior start-up experience.
  • Understanding of business process flow and able to identify areas where systems could function properly from a systems and operations point of view.
  • Strong in both manual and automation testing practices.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and strategies.
  • Knack for optimizing products and business flows.
