Job Description

Affirm provides honest financing options to consumers on leading e-commerce sites, and helps retailers significantly increase sales through higher conversion rates, larger basket sizes, and more new-to-file and repeat customers. The Manager of Business Development will identify, engage, secure and manage partnerships with industry leaders in the e-commerce vendor ecosystem. This role will have a direct impact on top-priority, company-wide goals and will provide accelerated learning with a world-class team.
 
This role reports into our VP of Business Development and is based in our San Francisco HQ.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

      • Help design and build the Affirm Marketing Partner ("AMP") network of partners that offer marketing technologies and services to retailers
      • Help drive relationships with e-commerce platforms, order management and payment gateway platform partners
      • Work with Partner Marketing to design, develop and execute co-marketing partner programs that include joint events, webinars, blog posts, education sessions and case studies
      • Liaise with other teams and functions both administratively and as part of new launches, etc.
 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 1+ years of experience within the retail e-commerce market
    • Business experience of 3+ years in customer- or partner-facing roles
    • Driven to succeed and be able to work both independently and with a team to build your partner relationships
    • Strong strategy, research, analysis, presentation and negotiation skills
    • Strong knowledge, interest and experience in retail
    • Comfortable working with both internal teams and external partners
    • Experience and/or comfort in managing deals and speaking with decision makers at e-commerce partner companies
    • Willingness to step up to greater responsibility, strong desire to contribute to overall goals
    • Excellent ability to communicate and extremely detail-oriented
