The Role

We are looking for a hands-on security engineer who safeguards our computer networks and systems. Work closely with stakeholders and help based on the security measures and monitoring you are implementing over time. The role will manage 3rd party security providers in terms of DDoS protection and IDPS.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation and monitoring of security measures for networks and technology assets
  • Assist with internal and external audits (PCI-DSS, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001)
  • Contribute to planning/architecting of secure infrastructure, systems and software
  • Collaborate with legal, data protection, risk and compliance functions
  • Provide security expertise and guidance to PPRO’s Software Engineering, IT and commercial teams
  • Security incident response including incident reporting

Qualifications that we are looking for

  • University degree in scientific, engineering or technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the IT field, with at least 2 of those in a security-focused role
  • Practical experience securing user endpoints (Windows, Mac, Linux) as well as server systems (Windows/FreeBSD)
  • Interest in building and maintaining custom security solutions
  • Familiarity with information security best practices (vulnerability management, security monitoring, user awareness program and related)
  • Fluency in the English language both written and spoken

It would be great if you also had

  • Programming or scripting experience in at least one mainstream language
  • Hands-on experience with application and network penetration testing
  • Experience in internal and external audits common in the financial sector
  • Participation in open source projects
