FP&A Manager, Personal Loans

As part of the FP&A team, you will oversee the Personal Loans vertical from a finance perspective and operate as the financial partner for this business.  You will use your understanding of key metrics, financial knowledge and business acumen to inform business decisions for the vertical on a daily basis. Using a financial lense you will guide the understanding of the business and help direct where cross-functional teams should focus to make optimizations. The Personal Loans General Manager (“GM”) will look to you to for business updates and communications to the CEO, broader executive team and the Board of Directors. Building deep partnerships with Analytics, BD, Marketing, RecOps, Data, BizOps and Product will be crucial for success in this role. You should have a high sense of ownership, a natural interest in continuously improving the way the business is viewed and a strong ability to communicate with non-financially minded peers.  The role will report to our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Previous experience with core metrics/KPIs, revenue forecasting, and partnering cross-functionally with an emphasis on understanding the business context behind the numbers is a must. You should also have extensive knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, the Google Doc suite and Looker.

What You'll Do:

• Own and proactively share a holistic view of the Personal Loans business to drive insights for day-to-day and long-term operations through cross-functional partnerships (ex. Personal Loans GM, Analytics, BizOps, Marketing, Engineering, BD, Data, RecOps and Product teams)
• Partner with the Personal Loans GM to put together monthly and quarterly reporting for the CEO, executive team and Board of Directors
• Understand current and historic performance of key metrics, analyze opportunities, gather and synthesize relevant data, and present findings to the Personal Loans leadership team
• Proactively contribute to the Personal Loans leadership team meetings on a weekly basis to drive the direction of the business and provide a perspective from a financial lens (delivering a consistent and reliable viewpoint into projected and actual core metric/revenue performance on a weekly basis)
• Lead investigation into and communication of financial performance variance relative to expectations, partnering with respective departments to gain additional insight
• Own the 12 month and long-term Personal Loans forecast and budget, working with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of financial implications from initiatives
• Ongoing partnership with Analytics and BI to refine data cuts and evolve business understanding
• Work with Analytics and BizOps to help quantify the value / size of new opportunities to inform and prioritize product and engineering roadmaps

What We Expect:

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business or other related field
• 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience (experience in investment banking or high growth companies preferred)
• A rigorous analytical mind able to effectively communicate findings to non-financial partners
• Ability and comfort influencing cross-functional teams
• Adept people, project management and organizational skills
• Self-starter, intellectually curious and a fast learner
• Extremely proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and the Google Doc suite
