Senior Finance Analyst (Finance Analytics)

As part of the Finance Analytics team, you will use data to inform business decisions across the company. Using your technical skills and business acumen, you will build tools and dashboards to generate insights and automate reporting that will enable team members to quickly and accurately see how our key business products and processes are performing. You’ll be involved in projects from inception to delivery, ensuring that your reporting delivers high-quality, accurate and relevant data to grow our business. You should have a high sense of ownership, a natural interest in understanding data nuances and a strong ability to communicate with non-technical peers. The role will report to our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will combine business acumen and technology to organize data and enable insights for Credit Karma’s finance organization.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with Finance leadership in FP&A, Corporate Development and Business Operations to build data solutions that fit their ongoing needs
• Partner with BI and analytics more broadly to influence Credit Karma’s data infrastructure, including business intelligence, reporting and analytics platforms
• Manage and deliver multiple data work streams on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis
• Understand historic performance of all key metrics, analyze opportunities, gather and synthesize relevant data, and present recommendations to executives
• Incorporate user insights and deep analytics to determine the impact of programs
• Quantify the value / size of new opportunities to inform and help prioritize product and engineering roadmaps
• Contribute to the development of the team’s culture and impact / mentor other team members

What We Expect:

• BS degree in a quantitative discipline
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field
• Previous experience managing finance systems projects, with emphasis on providing business intelligence and data driven insight through reporting is preferred
• Experience manipulating and interpreting large data sets
• Extensive knowledge working with statistical software (e.g. R, Python) and database languages / tools (e.g. SQL, Big Query, Looker)
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in environments with multiple cross-functional stakeholders with differing priorities
• Excellent stakeholder and project management skills
• Strong people skills and drive to provide training and support to team members and partners
