We are looking for a General Counsel (m / f) for the management of our legal department in Berlin. Your tasks include in particular:

  • Responsibility for the management of the legal department
  • Advising the management and the company departments (global functional areas / country teams) in all legal matters
  • Support of complex legal and complex cross-border projects
  • Commissioning and control of external lawyers
  • Negotiating complex contracts and representing the company against customers and business partners at home and abroad
  • Preparation of legal opinions and endorsements
  • Assessing regulatory issues, identifying and designing legal solutions for regulatory models
  • Representation of the company against supervisory authorities
  • Advice on legal compliance (especially data protection and KYC / AML)
  • Support of various national companies
  • Legal aspects / interests: Banking and supervisory law as well as complex regulatory bodies, corporate and contractual law, corporate loans, credit protection, GTC, IT and IP law as well as compliance (especially data protection law and AMLA)
  • Full jury (successfully completed first and second state exam) with a clearly above-average qualification, doctorate and / or LL.M. advantageous
  • Relevant professional experience in a company of the financial industry, an international economic chancery or in a start-up or a venture capital company
  • Strong understanding of economic contexts
  • Experience in the management of teams

  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
