Job summary

The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a motivated Equity Program Analyst to join its Equity team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll play a critical and visible role administering Red Hat’s executive and employee equity compensation, director compensation, and stock purchase programs. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can take initiative and work across multiple disciplines, including equity, tax, payroll, accounting, and legal, domestically and globally. You should have solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Administer global equity awards and employee stock purchases on a 3-party stock platform
  • Analyze and reconcile data from stock award and purchase activity using advanced spreadsheet techniques
  • Communicate effectively with associates regarding their stock programs through multiple channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams representing People (HR), Finance, and Legal (compliance, SEC reporting, and executive compensation) by providing reports and support for program participants

Required skills

  • 2-5 years of equity compensation, finance, or accounting experience, preferably with a public company
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability with data reconciliations and analysis
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, including advanced functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to set and handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues and solve problems
  • Team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
