Full time Account Manager

Job Description

At Klarna we have been working tirelessly to simplify buying for over 10 years. Our journey has taken us from a Swedish payments company to a global player that influences the biggest brands out there. We want customers to be able to buy a book or a pair of shoes without registering an account, login or even paying upfront. This enables higher conversion rates for our merchants - the small ones and the big ones. Now we are looking for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for the success of our existing merchant accounts in the UK market.

What you will be doing
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and growing transaction volume and profitability on a portfolio of enterprise accounts. You do this by focusing on a great end user experience and making sure that you handle all aspects of the relationship with the merchant. You will work with, and be supported by, our Technical Sales and Solutions organization, as well as our, Product, Credit Risk and Marketing organizations to support the merchant’s business from an ongoing technical, operational and business perspective.

In the end your mission is to grow our business and do it in collaboration with some of the biggest brands out there. In order to achieve this you will:

  • Identify strategic transaction and growth opportunities for Klarna at existing merchants, including but not limited to improved experience with new or existing payment options
  • Identify contribution improvement opportunities for Klarna with existing merchants, including but not limited to improved payment method mix or options, implementation of new fraud solutions or data sharing and co-marketing opportunities
  • Actively pursue deal optimizing strategies and opportunities for existing merchants as it relates to pricing or new products
  • Prepare and share strategic account planning for the allocated accounts with relevant KPIs to track progress

Finally you will need to have great internal stakeholder management skills, and not be afraid to challenge existing processes, suggest improvements or drive change by working closely with the relevant departments all around our business

Who you are
In order to be successful in this role we believe that you will have:

  • Experience from the payments or e-commerce industry and be able to show a successful track record of developing accounts
  • Knowledge and insight into the inner workings of online payments and/or e-commerce
  • An analytical and problem solving approach combined with experience of pricing and financial modeling
  • The ability to work across cultures and languages within a global landscape, both internally and externally
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time and efficiently prepare and handle reporting

In short we are looking for an experienced commercial expert who thrives in a global setting and wants to help us change the way people buy online. Most importantly you have a strong drive to succeed in a global e-commerce landscape and a GSD (get stuff done) attitude when it comes to your professional life. If this description fits your profile we cannot wait to speak to you.

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Selection and interviews are held continually.
