For over a decade Klarna has been simplifying buying in the Nordics. Our merchants and users like that, a lot, and we continue to grow in our effort to become the smooothest payment option in the world. Our Marketing department plays an essential part in achieving this goal, shaping our message to customers and spreading the gospel of simplified online payments. To further strengthen our position and brand in our domestic market, we are now searching for a highly qualified candidate to lead our marketing efforts in the role of Nordic Marketing Director.

What you will be doing:
In this role you will be responsible for planning, driving and controlling all B2B and B2C marketing activities in the Nordics. You will perform regular market screenings and partner with our marketing intelligence team to use the results in the most efficient way possible. Working closely with our central marketing team and in-house marketing studio, you will make sure that our message is packaged and tailored in a relatable way to the Nordic market.

You will also partner with cross-functional teams such as our Commercial and Product departments to develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to increase sales and existing merchant success as well as ensure effective execution of these activities. It goes without saying that you will have direct ownership of the development of our marketing in the Nordics, coordinating the team and the associated budget.

In order to succeed in this role we believe that you will have:

  • 5-10 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • A proven track record of marketing leadership
  • An advanced understanding of UX, online marketing principles and strategy.
  • Technical knowledge and experience, preferably from the e-commerce domain
  • A hands-on mentality
  • Last but not least, a demonstrated ability to create, articulate and execute strategies that will reinforce and advance the Klarna brand promise.

You have great leadership skills and believe in leading by example.
