Job Description

At Plaid, you will work at the intersection of technology and finance on disruptive innovations that require creative and pragmatic legal solutions. You will join a small but talented team of lawyers, each with 8+ years of legal experience. We deal with novel issues every day that will give you an opportunity to work collaboratively across Plaid’s compliance, product, engineering, and business teams.
You will provide general support to the legal team on a variety of legal matters, including privacy, regulatory, commercial contracts, litigation, and employment matters. We’re looking for a collaborative team member with excellent problem-solving skills who can manage multiple, high priority projects in a fast-paced environment.

What excites you

  • Designing, developing, and simplifying legal processes and procedures for our growing legal team.
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance initiatives and projects, including monitoring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Implementing and managing our contract management system.
  • Supporting the legal team in drafting and negotiating contracts, including form contracts.
  • Creating and improving workflow processes cross-functionally.
  • Conducting research, and collecting, analyzing, and organizing data and documents in support of legal functions.

What excites us

  • Significant experience as a paralegal or legal project manager, preferably at a law firm or an in-house legal department.
  • Experience at a fast-growing technology startup is a plus.
  • Stellar organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic credentials.
