Klarna is a rapidly growing financial company with high requirements on IT and Information security. We are currently looking for a Junior Security Operations Engineer to join our Security Operations team (SecOps) and help protect the information of our customers and business. We offer a fast-paced international working environment with smart and ambitious colleagues and the opportunity to play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level.

SecOps is working daily in line with securing Klarna’s products and information. In order to achieve this, we make sure to protect our people and infrastructure. You will, therefore, assist in activities which include but are not limited to:

  • Incident handling
  • Real-time monitoring
  • Threat intelligence
  • Key and secret management
  • Vulnerability management

About you

It does not matter how much you already know about IT Security but how much interested you are in it and willing to learn about it. The most important requirements for this role are to be curious, self-driven, humble and with very high ethical standards. Due to the nature of the role, it is also important to be social and fluent in English in order to comfortably communicate with Klarna’s different teams and stakeholders.

Having said that, we see it as a plus if you have:

  • A B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • A good understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Experience in Linux
  • Some scripting skills (e.g., bash, python)
  • Basic knowledge of cryptography
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization concepts and technologies

This position can be covered by candidates who are newly graduate or have up to 3 years of related work experience
