Job Description

Our goal is to improve the online buying experience for our consumers and merchants all over the world and change the way consumers buy online.

We're growing our Engineering Effectiveness domain, providing a standardised set of services to development teams to reduce complexity streamline deployment.

Imagine building something entirely from scratch, owning everything from the research, design, development to deployment and integration, well that's exactly what we're doing here in our Experimentation Platform team.

We're building the capabilities for development teams to run multivariate experiments across our product offering, touching all aspects of the user journey and all aspects of the Klarna technology stack.

As a Lead Software Engineer you'll lead the team in making the right technology decisions and assessing tradeoffs, as well as acting as technical ambassador for the experimentation platform throughout Klarna.

You should get in touch with us if...

  • You have a deep interest and passion for Data Science and would like to enable Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to make data driven decisions in a fast paced environment
  • You have ideally build some experimentation capabilities for consumer services across a diverse technology stack in the past.
  • Large scale services is something that excites you and you know how to build and run services with stellar uptime.
  • You value simple solutions written in clean code and to know your way around UNIX/Linux systems.
  • You are used to working with the entire lifecycle of a service, from writing application code and tests to deploying it to production and supporting it.
  • Working as a team is in your DNA; we respect and support each other, and we practise agile methodologies including pair and mob programming.
  • Deploying code multiple times a day using automated pipelines feels natural to you.
  • Learning and succeeding in fields you haven’t worked in before is something that motivates you.

Culture - You'll have an opportunity to work with people from 42 different countries in our English-speaking office in Stockholm city centre.

Compensation - You’ll get an attractive salary, pension and insurance plans, along with 30 days annual leave.

Learning - We have a learning and development focused environment with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, training and regular internal technical talks.

Family & Relocation - We offer a flexible work schedule, full parental leave compensation for 12 months and relocation support if you need it.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes women, men, mothers, fathers, the self-taught, the college-educated, and people from all over the world. We’re a team of technically curious problem solvers. Come and join us.
