Job Description

Ripple is growing and we’re looking to hire a Sales Development Manager in our New York office to manage the global sales development function. You will play a crucial role in the company by building and leading a team of high performing Sales Development Reps (SDRs). You will formulate effective lead generation strategies and optimize the inbound & outbound sales development process to achieve team quota. At the same time, you will hire, coach, and mentor SDRs to prepare them for roles of increasing responsibility and scope. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Sales Operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Hire, train, and manage a global team of sales development professionals
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies to achieve team target of sales-ready leads
  • Continually improve call scripts, email pitches, and qualification criteria to generate greater and higher quality leads
  • Define and deploy best practices across all stages of lead generation by engaging each SDR with hands-on prospecting activities to demonstrate those best practices
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to help SDR with career development
  • Drive all lead generation efforts: forecasting, execution, and measurement of results
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing leaders to identify regional trends to build targeted campaigns and create compelling content for SDRs
  • Ensure every SDR partners effectively with their assigned field sales reps to ensure goals, deliverables and expectations are aligned
  • Develop meaningful metrics and reports to measure productivity and quota attainment
  • Ensure all prospect interactions and meeting details are captured in CRM
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools to increase lead generation effectiveness

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of managing a top performing outbound SDR team with at least 6 SDR direct reports
  • 2+ years of experience as SDR with proven track record of consistently exceeding quota
  • Financial technology or enterprise software experience required
  • Proven ability to hire, motivate, train, and develop SDRs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships with a diverse blend of personalities
  • Smart, energetic and passionate about sales and prospecting
  • Proficient in using Salesforce.com, LinkedIn (or other social network tools), and SalesLoft (or other sales engagement tools)
