Job Description

Our goal is to improve the online buying experience for our consumers and merchants all over the world and change the way consumers buy online.

We're growing our Engineering Effectiveness group here at Klarna; Engineering Effectiveness  provides a standardised set of engineering services to our autonomous development teams in order to reduce complexity and make them more effective. We love to help our teams with what is at the heart of our engineering culture; Continuous Delivery, Microservices, Running in the cloud, Container Technology and Experimentation.

The Continuous Delivery and Pipeline Team provides the core infrastructure and tools, from commit to production. The team is driving Continuous Delivery practises across the organization. As we are a data driven organisation the team builds tools to give teams insights into pipeline execution and metrics.

You'll play an important part of making this happen by building amazing engineering services with your team. As a Software Engineer you build and extend our Continuous Delivery capabilities and enable teams to delivery in short feedback loops multiple times a day. Due to the size of our engineering organization we can offer you some interesting challenges that come with scale and the diversity of our technology stack.

You should get in touch with us if...

  • You're passionate about building and running tools for a large scale engineering organization and solving difficult technical challenges around Continuous Delivery.
  • You have experience in running Jenkins and other engineering tools in the Cloud.
  • You have experience with Container technology (docker) and Container Orchestration (mesos and/or kubernetes)
  • You would enjoy writing in Python and Golang.
  • You are used to work with the entire lifecycle of a service, from writing application code and tests to deploying it to production and supporting it.
  • Working as a team is in your DNA; we respect and support each other, and we practise agile methodologies including pair and mob programming.
  • Deploying code multiple times a day using automated pipelines feels natural to you.
  • Learning and succeeding in fields you haven’t worked in before is something that motivates you.

Culture - You'll have an opportunity to work with people from 42 different countries in our English-speaking office in Stockholm city centre.

Compensation - You’ll get an attractive salary, pension and insurance plans, along with 30 days annual leave.

Learning - We have a learning and development focused environment with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, training and regular internal technical talks.

Family & Relocation - We offer a flexible work schedule, full parental leave compensation for 12 months and relocation support if you need it.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes women, men, mothers, fathers, the self-taught, the college-educated, and people from all over the world. We’re a team of technically curious problem solvers. Come and join us.
