Job Description

Our goal is to improve the online buying experience for our consumers and merchants all over the world and change the way consumers buy online.

We're growing our Engineering Effectiveness domain, providing a standardised set of engineering services to autonomous development teams to reduce complexity and streamline deployment.

The Continuous Delivery and Pipeline Team provides the core infrastructure and tools, such as Jenkins, for teams to practise Continuous Delivery. The team drives Continuous Delivery practises across the organization and builds tools to give insights into pipeline execution and metrics.

You'll play an important part of making this happen by building engineering services with your team. Your role as Team Lead is to inspire, mentor and enable the team towards shared goals. You'll ensure the team's delivery capabilities and that engineering best practices and Agile development processes are applied.

We're looking for someone happy to be hands on technically and provide the technical roadmap for the team. We need you to be great at leading design discussions, retrospectives and empowering teams to find solutions to complex engineering challenges.

You should get in touch with us if...

  • You're passionate about building and running tools for a large scale engineering organization and solving difficult technical challenges around Continuous Delivery.
  • You have experience running Jenkins and other engineering tools in the Cloud.
  • You have experience with Container technology and Container Orchestration.
  • Leading teams of Engineers to solve complex business problems in a clean and simple way motivates you.
  • You enable employees to achieve their full potential and grow with the organisation.
  • You enjoy driving design discussions, assessing technical tradeoffs, establishing best practices and mentoring less experienced Engineers.
  • Working as a team is part of your DNA; we respect and support each other, and we practise agile methodologies including pair and mob programming.
  • Deploying code multiple times a day using automated pipelines feels very natural.
  • Learning and succeeding in fields you haven’t worked in before gets you up in the morning.

Compensation - You’ll get an attractive salary, pension and insurance plans, along with 30 days annual leave.

Learning - We have a learning and development focused environment with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, training and regular internal technical talks.

Family & Relocation - We offer a flexible work schedule, parental leave compensation and relocation support if you need it.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes women, men, mothers, fathers, the self-taught, the college-educated;, and people from all over the world. We’re a team of technically curious problem solvers. Come and join us.
