Symphony’s finance team is growing, and  we are looking for a Senior Revenue Operations Specialist to oversee the billing, collections, and revenue recognition functions .  If you have proven experience in process optimization, cross-team collaboration to build business systems and project management, along with an accounting/finance background with emphasis on revenue recognition and billing processes, we should talk!  


  • Play key role in adoption of ASC 606 and develop revenue recognition policies and related business process changes
  • Review revenue-related contracts to determine proper revenue recognition methodology under ASC 606
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing of customer accounts
  • Own all accounts receivable processes to ensure efficient and timely cash collections from customers and follow up on past due account balances
  • Manage customer interactions related to billing, including any billing setups or customer compliance forms, and responding to customer billing questions
  • Work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization with Sales, Sales Operations, and Legal
  • Seek out and communicate opportunities to continuously improve, standardize and streamline the company’s billing and collections process
  • Prepare reconciliations and journal entries to support monthly close activities
  • Support audit requirements on an annual basis
  • Review and prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax
  • Participate in special projects, system enhancements or other tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Revenue Recognition, Billing, and AR Operations experience in public accounting and/or SaaS companies; start-up experience preferred
  • Must have experience reviewing customer arrangements and enterprise SaaS /software transactions
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and functions across the organization
  • Strong financial systems background; Netsuite experience highly desirable
  • Advanced MS excel skills
