WorldRemit is the global FinTech success story that has been described as "the WhatsApp of Money" (Business Insider) and "Changing the world of remittances" (BBC).
Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, our app and website helps people send money to friends and relatives in more than 130 countries. We’re a high-volume business – our customers send hundreds of thousands of transfers every month – and we’re growing fast.
So what is the role?
We’re looking for an ambitious Content Intern to join our in-house content team for three weeks to help with a short-term project, on a paid basis.
The team works tirelessly to tell stories from all over the world – from Australia to Zimbabwe, Canada to Cameroon. We’re building a world-class market-leading, innovative content strategy – a rich and visually beautiful mix of video, text, and imagery.
We tell emotive, uplifting and sometimes heartrending stories of migrants and the people who rely on the money they send – as well as robust editorial content on innovation, startups, mobile money, diaspora stories, thought leadership pieces on remittances, fintech and financial inclusion and much, much more.
A key part of this is our blog. The next stage in our ambitious content strategy involves launching a new publishing platform, WorldRemit Stories.
We are looking for someone to help migrate existing blog content onto our new website. The role includes some writing, and content creation.
We've got a real start-up feel here. What does that mean for you?
