About the Role 

We're looking for a motivated self-starter to be a part of our Brokerage Operations team. You'll be on the front line of our newly formed clearing operations team working with many key stakeholders throughout our organization.  This is a unique opportunity in a newly developed area. You will be responsible for helping develop and design departmental processes and guidelines. 

As a Clearing Operations Associate (Securities Processing) you will:

  • Take ownership of critical business functions such as DTC Settlement, NSCC settlement, Corporate Actions, Stock Record, Security Master, etc.
  • Maintaining proper segregation of shares adhering to SEC 17a-3 regulations
  • Working with broker dealers and clearing firms to settle fails. Buy-in brokers as needed
  • Process dividend and reorganization duties in a timely manner
  • Handle account transfer requests via NSCC ACATS
  • Manage risks for back-office clearing activities
  • Manage day-to-day entries, adjustments, corrections directly in the brokerage platform
  • Troubleshoot, manage and resolve processing issues
  • Work closely with our project and operations teams to launch, improve, and scale Robinhood products and systems
  • Develop processes to increase operations efficiency of Robinhood Securities
  • Help build and create processes and procedures for different business functions within the clearing operations team

Some things we consider critical to being a Clearing Operations Associate (Securities Processing):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working at a clearing broker dealer handling back office duties
  • Familiarity with stock brokerage functions
  • FINRA Series 7 license, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environment

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience in a brokerage operation back office
  • Prior experience as an ACAT Manager, Stock Record Analyst, or Corporate Action Analyst
