Drive our growth and shape our future.

GoCardless is building a new global network for recurring payments. We’re cutting out the intermediaries and linking together direct debit schemes from around the world to create a simple way of collecting payments directly from customers’ bank accounts.

We power recurring payments for companies like the Financial Times, Thomas Cook and Nutmeg. We also enable partners including Quickbooks, Xero and Teamup to help tens of thousands of small businesses to save countless hours spent chasing customers for payments.

The role

This is a really exciting time to join Product Marketing at GoCardless. We’re building a team to connect the dots between a fantastic product and huge growth potential. The opportunity is enormous and we’re looking for ambitious, smart and versatile people to help us to unlock it.

As we expand domestically and globally, the Product Marketing team has a critical role in supporting and enabling growth. To do this, we focus on three core outputs:

Commercial Success: ensuring that we have clearly differentiated value propositions for key audiences, and that our Sales team have the tools they need to easily articulate them.

  • Developing positioning and messaging for GoCardless in the payments market
  • Establishing expertise on our potential buyers, their current pain points, and why GoCardless solves their problems better than the competition
  • Building tools, collateral and training programmes to enable our Sales team to effectively communicate our value proposition

Product Success: working with cross-functional teams to launch new developments, crafting compelling messages for our key audiences and seeking feedback to inform product strategy.

  • Collaborating on product and feature launches to drive growth and uptake
  • Gaining feedback on perceptions of our value proposition from the market
  • Ensuring that our Product teams have the necessary competitive intelligence to drive a differentiated roadmap

Company Success: defining our longer term company narrative and cementing our position as thought leaders in the recurring payments space.

  • Working on our company narrative and category design in conjunction with leadership team
  • Developing and enhancing our overall company value propositions
  • Establishing our thought leadership in recurring payments and driving our analyst relations programme
  • Ensuring cross-functional agreement on merchant segmentation and targeting priorities

We’re looking for product marketers who are creative, driven and looking for a new challenge in a fast growing FinTech organisation. We organise Product Marketing through the three areas described above, and we’re looking for people to join us in each team.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to convert complex concepts into clear, engaging messages for internal and external audiences
  • You are self-motivated and driven
  • You enjoy working as part of cross-functional teams to drive consensus
  • You have a passion for gaining insights and translating them into powerful programs
  • You are curious and a rigorous thinker, always probing beyond a simple answer and assuming nothing
