Content of the function

In this role you will be part of the business office of the Division on-site supervision and banking expertise. However, your work in terms of effective and efficient support covers all executive oversight divisions of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).  

Together with your colleagues give you direct meaning to the "window function" for all questions concerning the finances of the supervisory divisions. Additionally you can also play a role in supporting some oversight processes of banking supervision such as on-site supervisory examinations.

Your main responsibilities as an employee business office are:  

  • Preparation and analysis of financial and non-financial management information for the executive oversight divisions.
  • Pivotal role in the planning and control cycle of both monitoring organizations and the supervisory role in AAA-related.
  • Coordinating role for the executive oversight divisions regarding the attention of DNB-wide p & c cycle of budget division plans and quarterly reporting.
  • Management supervision supporting applications.
  • Supporting business divisions of the Banking Supervision: On-site supervision and banking expertise, national institutions and European banks.  

Job requirements

Of course, you have strong analytical skills and you can convert analytics into actions. You are proactive, you see opportunities and can thereby out-of-the-box thinking so you come up with creative solutions. Accuracy is a matter of course and a great sense of responsibility is a must in this role. At the same time you are someone who can connect well with your colleagues within the team and with your internal customers. You are thereby firmly in your shoes, keeping your back straight without losing customer relationships in mind.  

  • BSc in economics, for example HEAO, business administration or economics.
  • Between 1 and 3 years experience in P & C environment.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in both Dutch and English.  

Company Profile

The Business Office banking department (10 FTE) is part of the division Onsite & banking expertise (OSBE). The business office is working for this division and European banks for the divisions (EUBA) and national institutions (NATIN).  

The department supports the management of these divisions in several areas. Within this division employs approximately 180 supervisors who are responsible for monitoring one or more settings (EUBA and NATIN) or experts contribute to investigations of bank supervision and also on-site at banks (OSBE). At the company office teamwork is paramount and in an informal atmosphere.

Working for the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM)

DNB is part of the SSM, the joint monitoring mechanism of the European Central Bank and the national competent authorities of the 19 euro countries. Working for the SSM means regularly staying short periods abroad, for example, visiting as part of a mission, training or on-site , and potentially extended periods during on-site inspections . This is a typical part of the job, along with an environment in which a good work / life afforded. Working for the SSM means working together in multinational, multicultural teams and in different national partnerships. Knowledge of other EU official languages is therefore a great benefit.


This function can also part-time - at least 32 hours per week - to be filled.
