Job Description

Who we are

TransferWise was founded in 2011 with a clear mission: Money without borders - so people and businesses can send and receive any currency effortlessly, whenever, wherever.

Sure, the heart of what we do is international money transfer. And we’re committed to making it instant, convenient and fair for millions of people, all over the world. But we’re growing our other products and our teams at an exciting pace. And we’re looking for the very best to jump on board.

What it’s really like to work here

At TransferWise, we do things a bit differently. There’s no corporate nonsense, and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in dozens of self-sufficient, autonomous teams. Think of them like start-ups within a start-up that learn from each other.

Each team picks the problems they want to solve. So there’s no micro-management. No hiding behind fancy job titles. And no one telling you what to do. You are your own boss. But you’ll get tons of guidance and plenty of support from talented, super-smart colleagues from all over TransferWise.

We’re going to be upfront — the way we work doesn’t suit everyone. But if freedom, autonomy, and life-affirming, head-scratching professional challenges rock your world, we could be a match made in heaven.

A bit about the job

We’re looking for a talented Content Manager to be based in London, to support our growing operation. You’ll write, organise and manage our self-help content across our FAQ base, and our in-app support.

  • Writing, editing, and managing all content in our FAQs and self-help tools across the site.
  • Define KPIs for article performance and Support Center impact.
  • Keeping information in our internal wiki up to date.
  • Working closely with copywriters in London to build consistency across everything we write.
  • Working closely with all product teams across TransferWise to make sure every launch has support content ready, and that this information stays up to date and organised.

A bit about you

  • You have a real appreciation for beautifully-written content. You absorb the nitty gritty like a sponge, before turning it into language that’s so simple your dog could explain it to your grandpa. And you’ll play a key role in taking our help content to the next level.
  • Solid copywriting experience for challenger brands, consumer tech and/or regulated industries
  • Keen attention to detail, an eye for creativity and the skill to jump between different formats quickly.
  • Familiarity with metrics so you can start analysing data on day one to determine what success looks like
  • You’re customer-focused. You’re constantly thinking about products from the customer’s perspective. You think strategically - and you’ve got the organisational skills of a librarian. You organise and edit content in a way that’s helpful and intuitive.
  • Planning skills - you’ll need to take the initiative, find your own briefs, and plan your own work.
  • The ability to articulate the ‘why’ behind decisions and direction.
  • You’ll need to convince, to disagree confidently, take and give straightforward feedback

Benefits

It goes without saying that you’ll be a part of a fun, friendly atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to grow personally and professionally. You’ll get a competitive salary, flexible work hours and an all-expenses-paid company holiday once a year (Summerdays). We have delicious team lunches together every week, and host great speakers from around the tech/startup scene to inspire us. Everyone gets shares in the company too because we believe that the revolution belongs to each of us.

Some important stuff we would like you to know

To meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, TransferWise needs to take background checks on all new hires, which may include Criminal and Credit checks. Please discuss with the Recruiter if you have any concerns regarding this process.

We want to make sure that our recruitment process is accessible to everyone. So if you need any reasonable adjustments – at any point in the process – we’ll do our best to help. Just let us know what you need on your application form, or drop us an email. You might need a reasonable adjustment if you’ve got a disability. Or maybe you live overseas, and you’d prefer to meet us over Skype.
