About us

WorldRemit - if the media's to be believed, we're the FinTech start-up taking the world by storm - scooping-up awards and more than $140m in funding.  Ok... all that is true. But we're so much more. WorldRemit is changing the way people send money to family and friends. We're leading an online revolution and laying to rest old-fashioned money transfers.

The WorldRemit Office in Kraków is currently growing and we are looking for a QA/Test Engineer to join our Engineering Team.

What you’ll be working on:

Based in Krakow, you will report to an Engineering Manager, in our new engineering hub which is part of our global team. You’ll work closely with a squad of engineers to deliver market-changing features on our money transfer platform. We need a talented QA engineer, who has a passion for automation, who can work with the team of engineers to deliver a scalable, secure and highly available experience for our global customer base.

Your responsibilities:

  • Working as part of an Agile multi-disciplinary team, participating in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives, to provide a QA perspective.
  • Liaise with other WorldRemit teams to share/introduce/drive the adoption of new test technologies and best practices.
  • Design and build automation to test non-functional requirements (e.g. performance & scalability).
  • Monitor and analyse defects in live production systems.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our automated test frameworks and tools.
  • Automate the production of test results documentation.
  • Validating defects raised by other team members and verifying fixes.

 What we are looking for:

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, ideally Azure and AWS.
  • Ideally have Financial Services and money transfer experience.

You will be someone who:

  • is passionate about technology and keen to learn new techniques and methodologies.
  • is passionate about quality and customer experience.
  • asks questions and uses experience of those around you.
  • shares knowledge with the rest of the team.
  • is keen to take initiatives to improve and collaborate.

Nice to haves:

  • Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Who we are:

We’re changing the way people send money abroad. We’re taking something complicated and making it simple. Our people and our technology work together to create faster, easier and lower cost money transfers. We send to more than 145 countries around the world and have over 3 million happy customers – a number that’s growing every day. After all, 120,000 5★ reviews can’t be wrong!

We believe in helping our customers’ hard work go further. We’ve helped millions of children to go to school, helped thousands of people to receive medical treatment and, every week, we help tens of thousands of people to pay their bills. But most importantly, we do it all with the creativity, imagination and colourful spirit of our customers.

The work we’re doing is making a splash in the fintech industry too. Accel Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures have invested $140 million in us – and as early backers of the likes of Facebook, Spotify and Netflix, we know we’re in good company! Not only that, but we’re also a member of TechCity UK’s prestigious FutureFifty.

Changing the world isn’t easy, but we’re hoping to find the right people to join us on our way. If you think differently, believe in new solutions to old problems and have the drive to make things happen, you might just be what we’re looking for.
