Paysafe is currently looking for a Web developer to join its Montreal IT Development team to help design intuitive and challenging user interfaces for our next generation of portal applications. The candidate must have a learning facility and enjoy working alone or as part of a team. He must also be comfortable with all aspects of deploying software for large and small projects, including production engines, test automation and production support.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain outstanding user interfaces.
  • Follow the Agile methodology: daily flash assemblies, preparation, planning, retrospectives and project meetings as required.
  • Liaise with user experience design teams, product management and other project teams as required.
  • Assist the Product Management team in collecting and documenting requirements.
  • Work with the customer experience team during the design phase, create user interface templates as needed and continue with implementation.
  • Mobilize end-users and stakeholders during implementation to optimize user interface and flow.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment where collaboration takes place.
  • Strong debugging skills to determine the root cause of problems and resolve them.

 

Basic technical skills: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of Web browsers and protocols
  • Optimization (reactive design) of mobile devices, tests with various devices / browsers
  • HTML markup language, related HTML5 technologies
  • Basics of CSS, CSS 3 (layout, box templates, text effects, etc.)
  • Pre-Treatment Programs (SCSS, SASS, LESS)
  • JavaScript basics, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • JSON Data Structures
  • AJAX, reactive frames
  • Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of user experience tools (Zeplin, Wireframe, etc.)
  • Git, Bamboo / Bitbucket expansion modules

 

Desired technical skills

  • Angular / AngularJS and test frameworks (Jasmine, Karma and Protractor)
  • Automation tools (including Grunt and Gulp)
  • Eclipse and or IntelliJ
  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX / Linux

 

Skills:

  • More than five years experience in software development.
  • University degree in computer science or programming, or equivalent.
  • Self-taught person who is not afraid to adopt the latest technologies
  • Experience working in a diverse company with multiple locations

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and enjoy working independently within a team. You should be confident in all aspects of automation and production support.

  • Designing, developing & maintaining exceptional user interfaces
