Your tasks:

  • continuous monitoring and keeping service level agreements of a high transactional platform in payments industries
  • Incident handling and analyzing as a daily business
  • check frequently performance counters and log facilities to ensure adequate capacity management and proactive fault management
  • support the application deployments, the components configuration and the maintenance of operational handbooks.
  • support the continuous build and deployment pipeline including software configuration management
  • document Infrastructure, Architecture and Configuration Items within the assigned application environment

 

 

Your profile:

  • Technical high school diploma would be an advantage
  • Operating systems (UNIX, RHEL, SLES), web server technologies (Jboss/Wildfly, EAP6, Apache, Tomcat)
  • knowledge of the following technologies: software configuration and build tools (Apache, Maven, Jenkins/Hudson, SVN/GIT) as well as understanding of one of the scripting languages (shell, python, ruby)
  • know-how of decentralized application management (JM, EJB/RMI, SOAP/REST/Webservices) and monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk) would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of F5 load balancer and/or Puppet/Ansible is a big plus
  • English skills, German would be advantageous
  • team player, proficient in collaborating with local and virtual teams
  • high self-motivation, service orientation
  • open to on call duties – at least once a month
