The Merchant Due Diligence (MDD) team conducts comprehensive and discreet due diligence investigations to identify and assess business and reputational risk issues involving potential clients of Paysafe. The Head of Merchant Due Diligence plays a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the Paysafe Due Diligence team run smoothly. He/she will be expected to harness a working environment which encourages team work, energy and creativity. To achieve this, he/she should have strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills along with good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Leading multiple teams of specialists in Merchant Due Diligence based in various geographical locations throughout Europe

Shape the future of the Merchant Due Diligence team to truly align the team on a group level

Develop training materials related to Merchant Due Diligence process and deliver this training to new and existing team members on all facets of Merchant Due Diligence

Streamline and optimize processes to deliver top-performance in a fast growing environment

Escalation point for complex new business models that require assessment

Ensure the team adhere to SLA’s

Manage, develop and implement policies and procedures, to ensure that the MDD program is effective and compliant

Continually enhance all aspects of the process to keep pace with the needs of Paysafe and the changes in the regulatory landscape

Represent the function in all internal external audit/review/testing engagements.

Deliver robust Management Information reporting  

Experience:

5+ years post qualified experience in the international financial services industry

Vast experience in Due Diligence processes

Very good collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Extensive experience in managing teams in remote locations

Open-minded individual that is eager to challenge the status quo to deliver together with the team top results

Readiness to work in an international environment with the willingness to travel from time to time
