Job Description

Our Marketing team is searching for a Director, Media Planning who will serve as the champion in strategically planning and executing the right advertising reach to help get the brand on the map. This role will report to the Vice President Corporate Marketing and will work closely with an external brand agency and internal departments within the organization such as PR/Communications, Sales, Marketing Research, Product and Operations to provide education of our brand development strategies as well as ensure creative integration across all channels. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • As the media champion, you will lead the strategic direction for the media plan, including strategy, placement, articles and thought leadership.
  • Develop a quarterly media plan that aligns with our strategy and brand reach.
  • Develop strong relationships with potential magazines, agencies, sporting etc.
  • Strategically plan placement of articles (key media) with key stakeholders across the business that will assist in growing the brand reputation.
  • Research and seek though leadership opportunities.
  • Oversee the media plan strategy while influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Developing and implementing innovative media strategies across multiple product categories and channels that result in long-term brand equity.
  • Responsible for leading recommending, managing, and executing the full media plan. Establishes and manages high impact, annual

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, general business required.
  •  8-10 years of experience in Brand Marketing with concentrations in the financial industry
  • Strong business and strategic acumen.
  • Outstanding track record for managing and growing market share
  • Expertise in media strategy, execution, planning and having the ability to ensure strategic solutions/recommendations drive the creative/message output.
  • Ability to implement seamlessly, motivate other team members, and confidently interact with executives and other senior levels of the organization in order to influence, persuade, gain support, input and approvals.
  • Strong track record leveraging collaborative leadership in a global organization
  • Experience with streamlining processes to ensure innovative ideation, productivity, and effectiveness across functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer/client service skills; diplomatic, collaborative, and responsive.
