Job Description

Responsibilities - Activities:


  • You are the linking pin between business and IT, deciding on priorities, business value and functionality for all the work done by the DevOps team, based on your stakeholders' needs
  • You steer and motivate the development team to deliver committed stories
  • You communicate the product vision and defend the customer view
  • You communicate progress to the stakeholders
  • You approve delivered user stories during the team demo
  • You contribute in the Scrum process on a day-to-day basis
  • Closely work with co-founders to define specifications/scrum items for DevTeam
  • Proactively work on the product backlog. Update it with new insights and ensure that there are enough ready items for DevOps team
  • Closely collaborate with designers on UX, housing and packaging design
  • Write acceptance criteria and gather feedback after release
  • Document new features and check and publish release notes
  • Carry-out usability tests and collect feedback and user-data
  • Manage the stakeholders and make tough decisions; say no to some ideas and requests
  • We are looking for a full time position or contractor


Your profile:


Tech savvy and have an entrepreneurial mindset. You know enough tech to talk tech and enough business to talk business. You know what it means to solve complex, functional and analytical problems while keeping the customer top of mind, and get things done while keeping your team members productive. You can translate customer opportunities and pain points into clear product requirements and have the communication and leadership skills to have your team aligned on vision and mission.

You will spend time with co-founders, customers, partners to understand their challenges, while gathering insights into how to solve problems and deliver new features, services and products. You construct the MVP or Prototype, and know how iterate to full product. You believe in a ‘lean startup’ approach to product development that’s focused around a constant cycle of feedback, measure and optimize.


Desired Skills & Experience:


  • 3-5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience as Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Knowledge of agile, lean, scrum and product development methodologies
  • Insight in software, firmware, electronics and product development
  • Insight in UX and product-design
  • Great interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience/Knowledge of Insurance industry is a plus
  • Fluent in English, strong knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
