We’re on the hunt for an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our recruitment team. You will specialise in finding the best talent for our very rapidly growing global Engineering team. You’ll be supporting one of the busiest areas of hiring for the business and helping to make our ambitious international growth plans a reality. This isn’t just about candidate attraction, but also about candidate experience. You’ll be the first point of contact that our candidates have, so you’ll be responsible for making sure that every first impression is a positive one. What will the role entail? Finding out who we want to hire, and how to approach them That’s not just posting a job advert or searching our database (although we would definitely expect you to be able to do these things). It’s also about identifying and exciting those candidates no one else will be reaching. Direct sourcing for Engineering roles across global office locations Although your focus will be growing the London Engineering team, you will also be involved in helping us scale other European engineering team and opening in new markets. Getting to know our candidates right from the start You’ll be doing all initial screening calls and early interviews, making sure that the shortlist you give our teams includes only the best of the best. Regular reporting and updates to the hiring team You’ll need to make sure that they have the information they need, know what their role is, and that everyone agrees to a clear attraction and interview process. Putting together dream packages You’ll use your market knowledge to propose a dream offer package for every potential new hire. Becoming an industry expert Keeping up to date with market news, salary benchmarks and new recruitment technologies, whether from attending events and networking, or from your own independent research. Acting as a partner to our broader HR teams You don’t stop at offer stage but make sure that everything from contracts, background checks and onboarding happen like clockwork for your candidates. Making sure TransferWise candidates get the best possible experience at all times. Who would this suit? An agency or RPO recruitment consultant with a track record of success Success not just measured in billings, but in candidate satisfaction and a network of trusted contacts. Extra in-house recruitment experience is a bonus. Solid experience You’ll need to have a solid track record of high pace delivery experience in the Engineering space, ideally in a disruptive/start up environment. A self starter Someone who can use their own initiative to keep things running at pace, and doesn’t sit around waiting for answers to come to them. A problem solver A tricky niche role won’t get you down, it’s a challenge that spurs you on to find a new approach. Someone highly adaptable You’re comfortable dealing with ambiguity and an always-changing environment. We’d prefer it if you’ve worked in or recruited for a startup or high growth company before. An intellectually curious challenger of the norm A thought provoker who isn’t afraid to test something new. A confident communicator and influencer You’re totally comfortable talking to people of any level, whether it’s in person, on the phone or in writing. A perfectionist with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Nothing slips past you.
