FintechFans opens office in Hong Kong

In achieving our long-term vision of fuelling FinTech innovation by connecting specialist and companies all over the world, it is vital that we establish a strong presence in the global marketplace.

As such we will be opening offices and launching local websites for our job board in various strategic positions worldwide. This will help us to better serve the local job markets as well as enable FinTech companies to reach the best candidates, by exposing them to a truly international talent pool.

Hong Kong will be our first focus.

Hong Kong is not just one of the strongest financial hubs in Asia but also globally, often included as one of the top 5 financial centres in the world.

This relatively small nation boasts around 155 banks and more than 600 stockbrokers with over US$ 2 trillion in assets under management. In 2016 it was number one in the world for raising IPO funds (US$ 25 billion).

Hong Kong, therefore, holds significant opportunities for FinTech disruption and partnership, and we are excited to announce that we have signed Garry Grant as our partner for this region.

Gary will be leading the sales and onboarding of local FinTech talent in the Hong Kong area.

In an increasingly globalized ecosystem, we want to bridge not only time zones and language barriers but also our impact within in local FinTech communities.

This license partnership is only the first step in our expansion strategy and CEO Marcel van Oost, reiterated the international expansion plans; “After the conclusion of our ICO, our plan is to expand as fast and as big as possible in the coming year. We will do this by signing partnerships with online (FinTech-) media and also license partnerships based on a per country/region basis.”

“We met Gary among many other interesting people in Hong Kong, but he really stood out with his enthusiasm and energy. We are confident that he is the right man for the job to grow our FintechFans brand in the Asia region, starting with Hong Kong.”

Marcel also emphasized the significance of this region for overall growth; “Asia is a very important sector for our long-term strategy, and we will be announcing more partnerships to build our brand in this region soon.”

Although Asia is important, it is only the beginning. FintechFans are eager to expand the brand to all seven continents and looking to form licensed partnerships in countries spanning the entire globe.
